Message from the President

Dear Friends of the Northwest Community,

We have much to celebrate in northwest Houston and Harris County!

  • Grow Northwest, the Chamber's economic development initiative
  • Projects on the move: Exxon-Mobil campus, the Grand Parkway, Southwestern Energy and Noble Energy facilities, new home developments...
  • Higher education explosion in our area with the opening of various facilities housing a dozen universities serving our desirable demographic
  • The Cypress Creek Cultural District which houses the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Art, the Centrum, Barbara Bush Library, Cypress Creek Community Center and the Harris County Precinct 4 Courthouse. We are an arts destination!

We must be diligent in focusing public and private dollars on projects that will maintain and improve our infrastructure and amenities.
We can be proud of the community efforts that brought us the Green Medians, a 45-acre Lone Star College System complex
and a park system that when complete, will be unparalleled in Texas.

Join us in our crusade to improve business and community. Join us in our visioning efforts so that we create a future that is
well-conceived and representative of our entire community. Join our Chamber and be a part of building successful businesses
and a thriving community!

Dear Cypress Creek Community Friends,

I am honored to serve as the 2016 Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce Chair.  On behalf of the entire Chamber Board of Directors, we thank you for your support and dedication to this great community.  We are blessed to have an outstanding group of volunteer leaders that serve on our Board, our many committees and councils, and our Ambassadors group, as well a professional and dedicated Chamber staff.  And most importantly, we have active members who are truly engaged and committed to making the Cypress Creek Community the best that it can be.

What an exciting time to live, work, and grow a business in Northwest Harris County! We are experiencing unprecedented growth, both in population and in job opportunities.  New and exciting businesses are coming into Northwest Harris County and existing businesses continue to grow and prosper here.  Northwest Harris County, and specifically the Cypress Creek Community area, is poised to become the premiere location for business expansion, workforce development and residential attractiveness.  And the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce is ready and able to lead the charge, as we strive to fulfill our mission – developing successful businesses and a thriving community!

We are pleased to report that the Grow Northwest initiative is in full swing. Based on community feedback consensus, plans are underway to implement programs that focus on improved safety and security, strong community branding, and enhanced economic development.  We are grateful to our business partners who continue to contribute to the capital campaign so that we can move the initiatives forward.  And now, with the passage of House Bill 2528, the campaign has a new and exciting opportunity to allow citizens to engage directly in support of the Grow Northwest program.  Visit the website ( for more information.

If you are new to this area or just interested in learning more about the Cypress Creek Community, let me introduce you to just a few of the wonderful attributes that make this one of the best places to live, work and own a business……top-notch school districts and unparalleled higher education facilities; fantastic local cultural amenities; outstanding outdoor recreation features; and a strong and quickly growing business environment, including several major energy players.

We absolutely believe that the Cypress Creek Community will continue to grow and thrive, and your unwavering support, participation and encouragement is essential as we move forward.  If there is anything that we can do for you as a Chamber, please don’t hesitate to reach out.  Thank you!
